Libyan Tripoli-based football club, Al-Ahli walked out of match winner by 2-1 against Malian Onze Createurs club Sunday in the Malian capital Bamako as part of the first leg of CAF Champions League - preliminary round matches.

The host Malian team scored first by Tomato Hassan at the minute 32 to end the first half as such, and by the kick off of the second half, the Malian team’s performance got more pressing to score a second goal until Al-Ahli made the score even by Mohammed Issa’s kick resting in the Malian team’s goal post at the 65th minute.

Towards the end of the match, Al-Ahli was granted a penalty by the referee and thus Al-Ahli’s striker, Mohammed Al-Ghannoudi, scored the second goal for his team after 5 minutes from the first goal, ending the match 2-1 and paving the way for Al-Ahli to qualify for the second round of the CAF Champions League qualifiers.

The two teams will play the second leg match two weeks from now in Tunisia.
