The Libyan Table Tennis Federation has decided to contract coaching crews from North Korea to coach and supervise the sport’s national teams and qualify them to take part in the upcoming international sports events.

Sources from the federation indicated that the North Korean crews are to arrive in Libya at the beginning of August to start coaching the teams, pointing out that this step comes as part of a memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries. It is also part of the federation’s plans to enhance Libya’s cooperation with North Korea as well as to educate the public about the table tennis sport and putting Libya back on the sport’s track in both Africa and the world.
