The Libyan Football Federation has appointed Libyan coach, Omar Al-Marimi, as a new manager of the Libyan football team with a contract of which duration and value has yet to be revealed.

The contract was signed on Monday in the Jordanian capital of Amman prior to the friendly match against Jordan, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Al-Marimi will lead the Mediterranean Knights in the upcoming the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2018), which will be launched in Morocco early next month.

CHAN results will determine the possibility of Al-Marimi continuing in the position or not, according to the official spokesman of the Libyan Football Federation in a radio statement.
