Egypt's Mekameleen TV, on Thursday, broadcasted a leaked telephone conversation between Brigadier General Abbas Kamil, the manager of Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi office and the Deputy Chief of Staff of UAE Armed Forces, Staff Major General Eisa Saif Al Mazrouei.
The two officials held a discussion to arrange the transfer of arms and ammunition from the UAE through Egypt to Libya's Tripoli International Airport.
According to the leak, dated back to February 2014, the UAE has been funding Zintan's Al-Qaqaa and Al-Sawaiq brigades, supplying them with arms through Egypt with Al-Sisi's help. The two brigades were in control of Tripoli airport.
The leaks also include a discussion over the arrival of a plane carrying Palestinian Mohammed Dahlan and former Gaddafi aide fugitive Mohammed Ismail to discuss arms shipment designated for Libya through Egypt.
