The Ambassador of Pakistan to Libya major General Anjum Enayat (Retd), has commended his country’s victory in its war with India, urging the international community to recognize the dangerous precedent being set by India's reckless actions. Speaking to The Libya Observer, Ambassador Enayat said 51 Pakistani lives, including 11 military personnel and 40 civilians, were killed due to the Indian aggression.

 He reiterated Pakistan's desire for a peaceful resolution to all outstanding issues with India including Kashmir dispute through dialogue and adherence to international law. 

The Ambassador thanked the Libyan Government of National Unity for welcoming the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India and expressed sincere gratitude to the US, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, China, Iran, and the UAE for their crucial role in de-escalating the crisis and emphasizing dialogue. 

Talking about bilateral relations between Libya and Pakistan, the Ambassador highlighted the all-weather friendly ties between the two brotherly countries. He emphasized the strong people-to-people connections rooted in shared religious and cultural values, noting that both nations have historically enjoyed mutual respect and cooperation in various fields, including labor, education, and diplomacy.
