The inaugural Libyan International Pharmaceutical Conference, organized by the Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity, took place in the Corinthia Hotel’s Hall in the capital city of Tripoli. 

The conference centered around the theme “Economics and Challenges of the Pharmaceutical Industry.” The conference aimed to foster cooperation and facilitate the exchange of experiences in the field of pharmacy among interested individuals at local, regional, and international levels. 

During the two-day event, participants engaged in discussions related to pharmaceutical sector development. 

Key topics included opportunities for localizing the pharmaceutical industry, insights from local pharmaceutical experiences, the economic considerations for decision-makers, medical supply chains, pharmaceutical product registration, the implementation of GS1 standards in the supply chain and the European modality in the development of the general pharmaceutical products. Additionally, experts and decision-makers held dialogue sessions addressing the challenges of local medicine manufacturing.
