The Libya Oncology Conference was held in the capital, Tripoli, with the attendance of a group of doctors, consultants, and researchers in the field of oncology treatment, along with representatives from the Ministry of Health, oncology centers in various Libyan cities, and a number of local and international organizations interested in the health sector.

The conference aimed to shed light on the reality of cancer control in Libya, review the latest diagnostic and therapeutic methods, and discuss the challenges facing the sector, especially in light of the health and economic conditions facing the country. 
The conference programme included scientific sessions and specialized lectures on breast tumors, gastrointestinal cancers, and pediatric tumors, in addition to research papers on prevention, palliative care, and developments in immunotherapy and chemotherapy.

 The conference also discussed the importance of strengthening early detection programmes and community awareness.

 In his opening remarks, the head of the conference's scientific committee emphasized that organizing such events contributes to developing national cadres and unifying efforts towards building a more efficient and comprehensive health system for dealing with oncological diseases. The Libya Oncology Conference is an important scientific platform that enhances cooperation between healthcare and academic institutions and supports the exchange of knowledge and expertise among specialists, positively impacting the quality of services provided to patients.
