The two-day Mediterranean Conference on Marine and Coastal Biodiversity (April 12-13) concluded in Tripoli on Sunday, with the participation of a group of experts, researchers, and representatives of institutions concerned with environmental issues.
The conference sessions were divided into two halls and featured extensive discussions on key issues, most notably ways to protect marine and coastal ecosystems, the challenges facing biodiversity in the region, and the repercussions of climate change.
The participants emphasized the need to strengthen regional cooperation and intensify joint efforts to protect biodiversity and achieve sustainable development in the Mediterranean basin.
