The National Centre for Disease Control and the World Health Organization (WHO) launched Saturday a campaign to vaccinate more than 2 million children throughout Libya, against measles, poliomyelitis, and rubella.

The campaign will target children from birth to the age of 15, in addition to routine daily immunizations carried out by the centre.

UNICEF Special Representative for Libya AbdelRahman Ghandour said UNICEF is extremely happy to take part in this campaign.

“Our objective is reach 100% of children in Libya even in the far borders,” He said.
