The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, said that he held a “constructive meeting” with warlord Khalifa Haftar.

“In Benghazi, the Ambassadors of Italy, Egypt, France, Germany, Tunisia, Turkiye, and the United Kingdom and I held a constructive meeting with Khalifa Haftar”, Bathily tweeted, without revealing any details about the meeting and its outcomes.

The media office of the Haftar Forces Command announced on Monday, that the latter met, in his office in the city of Benghazi, with Bathily and ambassadors of countries accredited to Libya, in the presence of the head of the government designated by the House of Representatives, Osama Hammad.
