Minister of Culture Mabrouka Toghi discussed with Emad Soula, an international expert at the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO), the ministry's efforts to protect and preserve intangible cultural heritage during a meeting in Tripoli on Sunday.

Soula reiterated ALECSO's willingness to provide assistance and cooperation to Libya, while Minister Toghi commended the organisation for its role in the cultural domain and informed that the ministry is planning to organise a workshop as part of its collaboration with ALECSO.

The minister explained that by organising such workshops, the ministry seeks to develop national capacities in intangible heritage, with plans to enlist elements of Libya's intangible cultural heritage in UNESCO, as per the provisions of the 2003 Convention.
