The Libya’s State Lawsuit Administration has reported that it had won the lawsuit filed by the heirs of Tawfiq Gargour, Garcia Gargour and Mary Gargour, against the Libyan state based on the bilateral investment agreement between Libya and France to encourage and protect investments.

According to the Administration, the heirs demand compensation of $424.4 million in addition to $5.5 million attorney fees and expenses, for the nationalization of the property, companies and facilities of their inheritor, according to Law 108 of 1970.

This comes within the framework of the Lawsuit Administration’s important role in following up the state’s cases in accordance with the law.
