The House of Representatives (HoR) spokesman, Abdullah Belhaq announced that the HoR voted, during Tuesday’s session, to approve the ratification of the Paris agreement on climate and the protection of the environment for life on earth.
As far back as June last, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, agreed to refer the Paris Agreement on Climate Change to the HoR for ratification in order for Libya to join the list of countries wishing to ratify the agreement.
194 countries signed the Paris Climate Agreement, which was adopted in Paris, at the end of the Climate Summit in December 12,2015.
