Mine clearance teams of the Libyan Ministry of Defense and their Turkish counterparts have continued to clear mines and explosive materials planted by Haftar’s militias and Wagner mercenaries in southern Tripoli as they fled the area.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Sunday that the Turkish Armed Forces demining teams are in Libya within the framework of the training, cooperation and advisory agreement, concluded between the two countries.
The Turkish demining teams arrived in Tripoli in early June of last year to support their Libyan counterparts.
