Libya-Malaysia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity has brokered an agreement with its Malaysian counterpart to extend Malaysian entry visas for Libyan nationals.

The agreement, forged during a comprehensive meeting in Kuala Lumpur, coincides with a visit by a Libyan foreign delegation commemorating the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.

The move aims to facilitate Libyan students' academic pursuits in Malaysian universities and bolster trade ties between the two nations.

Beyond visa extensions, discussions centred on promoting bilateral relations, exploring avenues for collaboration, and addressing mutual regional and international concerns.

The delegations, led by Mohammed Issa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, also emphasized intensifying joint efforts to champion the Palestinian cause on global platforms.
