Libya’s eastern city of Tobruk has been flooded with sewage in the past few days, sparking fears of a health and environmental disaster.
Local sources said the sewage has been leaked into the water supply network in some parts of the city and closed many streets in other parts.
The ongoing power outages, which led pumps to stop working, is the cause of sewage flooding, the sources said.
