The Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation started Sunday distributing PPE clothing specially made for female medical staff to a number of hospitals in Tripoli.

The female staff comprises a significant proportion of Libya's health sector and is expected to play a critical role in the battle against Covid-19.

The garments were designed in conformity with the Islamic law by the group "Libyan women in the face of Covid-19" affiliated with the Women's Empowerment and Support Unit of the Presidential Council (PC).

The clothes were made in the sewing factory of the Labour Ministry at the Libyan-Korean Center for Construction and Building Occupations.

Earlier this month, the Ministry of Labour opened a new production line for sewing protective medical clothing to make up for the shortage of these items in the health facilities amid the outbreak of Covid-19.
