The French intelligence website "Africa Intelligence" said that Paris "intends to host representatives of the US, UK and Italian foreign and defense ministries in the next few days to discuss security issues in Libya.
The meeting, which will be chaired by the French special envoy to Libya, Paul Soler, will focus on sovereignty and securing the borders that are currently under the control of various ethnic and tribal forces in the west and south, as well as Haftar's forces in the east.
"France is trying to advance a plan to form joint units to secure the borders with the Chiefs of Staff in the East and West, Mohammed Al-Haddad and Abdelraziq Al-Nathori, in addition to including officers of the 5+5 Military Commission with the goal of achieving a unified army." It said.
Africa Intelligence added that there is another factor in the stability of Libya besides the integration of armed groups, which is the removal of foreign mercenaries, including the Russian paramilitary group Wagner Group that has an influence in the east and southwest - partly controlled by Khalifa Haftar.
