Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush has announced the transfer of the Libyan embassy in the US from Dahlia street, Washington D.C. to the former "guest house" historical building in Wyoming avenue that was bought by Libya in the Monarchy era.

The Foreign Ministry said this step aimed at strengthening relations with the US and would be beneficial for both peoples.

Meanwhile, the Libyan embassy in Washington said passport issuing system will open in October and appointments will be made on its website, while registration and photo processing will be done in 5881Leesburg Pike Falls Church, VA 22041.

The Foreign Ministry indicated that Al-Mangoush met with the Libyan American Business Association and some representatives of American companies at the headquarters of the Libyan embassy in Washington, discussing the importance of developing economic relations between the two countries through the return of American companies to work in Libya.

Al-Mangoush also said that Libya represents a fertile environment for investment in all fields, the Ministry added, saying the attendees agreed to prepare for a visit by some representatives of American companies to Libya in the coming period.
