A senior Dignity Operation commander has declared that their armed to the teeth army will march towards the capital to “liberate” it from the “Islamist and tribal militias”.
In a press statement to Swiss, German-language daily newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung published on October 04, Chief of Staff of Tobruk-based House of Representatives and the military governor of the eastern region, Abdul Raziq Al-Nadouri, said the “Libyan National Army”, Khalifa Haftar’s de facto armed groups, is preparing to take control of the capital after the victory over the “terrorists” in Benghazi.
“We won in Benghazi; now we will go to Tripoli”. He threatened.
Al-Nadouri did not set a date for the march, but indicated that their “35.000 fighters” will not face any difficulty in expelling the "militias" from Tripoli, Misrata and Sabratha.
He claimed that residents of the western region will “welcome” their army with “open arms”.
Al-Nadouri’s threat to invade Tripoli comes amid concrete efforts exerted by the UN Support Mission in Libya and other western countries to end Libya’s political chaos and unite the country under one government.
