The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, discussed with the Executive Secretary of the Community of Sahel and Saharan States during a meeting on Tuesday in the capital the completion of the necessary arrangements for their return to work from Tripoli.
According to the Prime Minister’s media office, Dbeibah hailed the efforts of the Community to play its regional role in supporting member states with all issues, stressing the need for communication among member states to clarify stances on all issues.
The Executive Secretary also praised the Libyan efforts to restore the pivotal role of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States in the African and international circles, stressing the completion of logistical arrangements to work from Tripoli.
In his speech during the fourth meeting of youth and sports ministers of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States, which was held on Tuesday afternoon in Tripoli, Dbeibah said that his government showed a moral commitment to restoring peace to Sudan and Niger, without internal challenges distracting it from performing its duty.
He stressed that the hosting of Tripoli of African and international forums was a clear indication of the return of security, peace and stability to the country, stressing support for the Community of Sahel-Saharan States. He pointed to the government’s support for Libyans in the “Return to Life” program, to put the country on the path to development and societal peace.
"We have achieved successes that have been felt by all citizens, the most important of which is raising the quality of electricity, health, infrastructure, education, and loan programs. The unity government's greatest success is ending the fighting and reducing the chances of conflict and wars." Dbeibah said, stressing support for the efforts of the Presidential Council to achieve comprehensive national reconciliation in Libya.
