Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Debaiba has inaugurated Libya’s first Entrepreneurship and Innovation Support Fund, a key component of the “1,000 Entrepreneurs for 1,000 Projects” initiative.
The program, launched in partnership with 50 private-sector companies, aims to empower startups by providing funding and reducing financial risks.
Speaking in Tripoli, Debaiba emphasized the role of university innovation hubs in fostering entrepreneurship and driving economic development.
“This initiative connects government funding, the Central Bank, and private investments to create an ecosystem that supports creative ideas and ensures their success,” said Debaiba.
The fund is seen as a pivotal step toward diversifying Libya’s economy and encouraging a new generation of business leaders.
