The Presidential Council has called on the Minister of Health, Hamid bin Omar, to assign health attaches to cooperate with local authorities of countries hosting Libyan travelers to facilitate their return, in accordance with the recommendation issued by the scientific committee.

The advisory scientific committee formed by the PC recommended conducting analyzes to Libyans abroad and to be put into quarantine for two weeks upon their return.

All returnees should undergo two tests to confirm the lack of Covid-19 infection. Afterward, they will be directed to self-quarantine at home for at least another week, according to the protocols set by the committee.

It also recommended that those who test positive for Covid-19 will be housed in quarantine facilities to receive care and treatment. Patients who achieve full recovery will be discharged upon a decision by the specialized doctors, according to the committee.
