The latest records of the displaced persons due to the ongoing armed conflict in Libya has hit a high number reaching more than 600 thousands, said the spokesperson of the Libyan Red Crescent, Mohammed Al-Musrati.

Al-Musrati reaffirmed that these numbers are likely to increase because of the continuous clashes taking place around the country, pointing out that the clashes that erupted in Al-Kufra, Sirte, Benghazi and Ajdabia led to a wave of displacement by the local residents mainly to the cities of Bani Waleed, Misrata, Zlitin, Tripoli, Al-Khumus, and Jalu.

“We call on the warring parties to avoid targeting the civilians, hospitals, and ambulances.” Added Al-Musrati.

In the meantime, the country is still amidst a ferocious war taking place in Benghazi for more than a year now and another taking place in Ajdabia nowadays led by rogue General Khalifa Haftar, who is gasping for forming a military council to rule Libya.
