Hanna Tetteh

The UN envoy to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, extend her warmest wishes to all Libyans on the blessed month of Ramadan. She said "Ramadan is a time for reflection, compassion, and empathy, a time when Libyans come together as families, sharing values of kindness, generosity, and solidarity."

She added: "Having recently arrived in Libya, I look forward to celebrating this Ramadan among the welcoming people of this wonderful country. The holy month is a time for reflection and reconciliation. I hope that this time will provide an opportunity for communities across the country to come together and find paths to peace. Let us work together to strengthen stability and heal the wounds of the past, so that we can build a just, peaceful, and prosperous future for all Libyans."

Tetteh called on all Libyan actors to be inspired by the spirit of goodness, peace and consensus during Ramadan, and to reflect on the compromises needed to reconcile their differences and plant the seeds for a stable and prosperous Libya for all future generations.
