The Chief of Al-Khums Passports Investigation Department, Marwan Beshish, was killed in gun shooting in Al-Khums on Tuesday.
According to local sources, Beshish was quarreling with two people in the city before he was shot dead.
The chief of the city's military council, Mustafa Sultan, denied closing the coastal road over the incident.
