Cyrene archaeological site receives a clean up

The first stage of the cleanup of the Apollo Spring archaeological site in Shahat, in eastern Libya has been completed. Drainage of ponds, then full deep cleansing from the debris and algae took place.

Inscriptions within the ponds on the walls were cleaned then translated by specialists. This campaign is part of a surveillance plan, which is designed to target all sites located within the archaeological site of Qorini.
