The Minister of State for Economic Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Salama Al-Ghweil, said that Libya needs $100 billion to rebuild the initial basic infrastructure, which allows for the factors needed to build of a state.

Al-Ghweil added in televised statements that rebuilding Libya needs a lot of services and technology, saying that Turkey has the expertise and scientific development for such tasks.

He reiterated that Turkish companies are linked with Libya with contracts that cannot be ignored, and it is necessary to work on reactivating and implementing these contracts, taking into account the technical aspects, time progress and work quality.

"The right of Turkish companies to work in Libya is guaranteed according to the culture of consumption and what Libya really needs, in line with other regional factors, and we hope to see Libya at the level of Turkey, in terms of its infrastructure, development and active role in the world." He added.

Al-Ghweil added that Ankara needs a market, and Libya will be the real link between Turkey and the Arab and African countries bordering Libya. He stressed that Turkey and Libya are united by economic integration, and they can agree on the “win-win” principle.

"It is important that Turkish-Libyan relations be characterized by integration in all aspects of life, including in the fields of education, trade, economy, service, health, infrastructure, roads, and energy." He added.
