The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hawaij, discussed with the Ethiopian Ambassador to Libya, Hassan Musa, aspects of cooperation in trade and investment.
During a meeting held at Libya's Ministry of Economy in Tripoli, the parties debated a mechanism for activating the agreement concluded between the two countries regarding double taxation, regulating employment, and promoting investment in both countries.
Al-Hawaij stressed the importance of activating the joint higher committee, holding a meeting at the prime ministerial level, and working to develop ways of cooperation in areas of common interest.
He expressed Libya's desire to strengthen economic ties with Ethiopia and increase the volume of trade exchange with the African market.
Al-Hawaij also extended an invitation to his Ethiopian counterpart to visit Libya and hold meetings with economic and commercial institutions.
