Spokesman of the Presidential Council (PC) Head, Mohammed El Sallak said that the meeting in Abu Dhabi, which gathered the Fayez Al-Sarraj and commander of the so-called Dignity Operation, Khalifa Hafter was for consultation.

"There had been no signed agreement in the meeting, contrary to what has been circulated, El Sallak explained in a press conference, Wednesday.

On another front, the PC head spokesman said that the demotion of former chief of staff Abdul Rahman al-Tawil from general to brigadier came against the backdrop of his violations of the military regulations.

Meanwhile, a military source claimed, “the UAE brokered a deal between Al-Sarraj and Hafter which could pave the way for the latter to enter Tripoli and have control over the entire country.”
