The United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) declared that the United States military launched airstrikes in Libya against ISIS fighters on November 17th and 19th, near the town of Fuqhaa in the central Jufra town.

It explained that the airstrikes were conducted in cooperation between the United States and the Presidential Council.

AFRICOM reported that the first airstrike occurred at approximately 9:30 am local time in Libya on Friday, November the 17th, while the second strike took place around 12:30 pm local time on Sunday November 19.
