The Deputy Prime Minister, Huseein Al-Gotrani, said he is still part of the Government of National Unity and with the initiative of Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbiebah “Return of Trust to People” to hold elections as soon as possible.
Al-Gotrani told reporters that he was in Tunisia and denied news about handing over Benghazi cabinet headquarters to any other party, reiterating that the headquarters was operating under his leadership as a Deputy PM and all employees act upon his instructions.
He also denied being under pressure by the House of Representatives or General Command of Khalifa Haftar’s forces to hand over his position, adding that he wouldn't take an individual decision on the current situation as he is still a Deputy PM at the unity government.
