The member of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, has stressed the need to expedite the completion of all projects related to the electricity sector, to avoid prolonged power outages during the summer and winter peak periods, which burdened the citizens during the previous years.

This came during his meeting on Tuesday, with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), Weam Al-Abdali. 

Al-Lafi praised the efforts made by the GECOL, in order to improve the quality of electricity services in various cities and regions of Libya.

For his part, Al-Abdali reviewed the progress of work of the company, as well as the electrical and energy projects that are being implemented.
