Libya

Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah attended on Sunday the celebration of 72nd anniversary of Libya’s Independence Day, which was held within the activities of Tripoli Media Days.

During the ceremony, PM Dbeibah honored the descendants of the fighters and founders of the Libyan state, and he also honored Ambassador Danielle, the granddaughter of Haiti’s representative to the United Nations, Emile Saint-Loup, due to his role in bringing down the guardianship over Libya, known as the Bevin Sforza Plan.

Dbeibah said in a speech on the occasion that the path towards successful elections passes through the constitution, as Libya needs a permanent constitution that establishes a fair and clear political process.

"Libya today is facing a great test in order to consolidate the independence that was achieved 72 years ago," he added.
