The UN envoy Abdoulaye Bathily has presented UN mission initiative to be launched in the coming period, during a phone call with the head of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohammed Takala, according to a statement issued by the HCS on Monday.
“We discussed recent political developments in Libya, and exchanged views on the next steps to forward move forward with the political process”, Bathily said on his X platform page.
Takala and Bathily’s call came a few days after the meeting of the HCS head Takala with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, in Cairo, which did not produce tangible results, agreeing to continue consultation on the political crisis, to reach an intra-Libyan solution that fulfills the aspirations of the Libyan people”, according to the HCS.
