The Governor of Libya's Central Bank (CBL), Saddek Elkaber, met on Thursday with the UN Envoy Abdoulaye Bathily to discuss a roadmap after the bank's unification and its role in driving economic growth and reinforcing financial and monetary stability in the country.
During a meeting at the CBL's HQ in Tripoli, the two sides discussed the bank's efforts to enhance transparency and disclosure of public spending and revenue using monthly data.
A statement by the CBL on Facebook said that Bathily reaffirmed the UN mission's full support for efforts towards unifying the bank and its readiness to cooperate with the CBL in any steps in this regard.
