The President of the High Council of State (HCS), Abdulrahman Al-Suwaheli, met in Tunisia with the Canadian Ambassador to Libya, Hilary Childs-Adams, on the sidelines of his visit to the Tunisian capital.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, in addition to the recent developments in the Libyan arena, according to the Media Office of Al-Suwaheli.

On her part, the ambassador reiterated her country's support for dialogue to amend the political agreement within the framework of the UN action plan, pointing out that her country is looking forward to the return of the embassy and Canadian companies to Libya.

Al-Suwaheli called on Canada, as being one of the seven major countries, to assist in finding solutions to the political crises in Libya, stressing his commitment to the provisions of the political agreement and the need to implement the security arrangements contained therein.
