Libya topped the Maghreb countries in the consumer inflation rates during the past year 2021, as it hit 21.1% compared to 2.8% in 2020 and 0.2% in 2019.

According to International Monetary Fund data, Libya was ranked 3rd in the Arab world, while globally, it came in 11th place.

Sudan came first in the Arab world with an inflation rate of 194.6%, Yemen came second with 40.7%, Algeria fourth with 6.5%, and Iraq fifth with 6.4%.
