The Law Enforcement Department of the General Directorate for Security Operations has announced the arrest of African migrants who attempted to infiltrate into Tunisian territory.

The arrest operation was in line with patrols of the department in charge of securing the Ras Jadir border post, commissioned by the Joint Security Room, according to the department’s statement on its Facebook page.

The patrols stopped eight migrants with two children while they were trying to sneak into Tunisia behind the crossing illegally, according to the statement, and legal measures were taken against them, then they were handed over to representatives of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency of the Security Room.
