Head of the Coast Guard and Ports Security Agency, Reda Issa, has signed a handover report for three boats for marine rescue work with the Italian authorities and the European Union.

The boats will enter service upon their arrival at the Tripoli naval base, commanded by officers and non-commissioned officers from the Coast Guard and Ports Security who have received training in Italy.

These units will practice maritime rescue activity in the waters under Libyan sovereignty and responsibility, and support maritime rescue work off the Libyan coast.
