The Libyan Interior Ministry denied that the Minister Khalid Mazen had resigned, saying the news was a rumor aimed at destabilizing the security of the country, and urged people not to believe such false news.
This statement came after rumors spread fast about resignations of cabinet ministers at the Government of National Unity under Abdul Hamid Dbiebah, especially Deputy PM, Hussein Al-Gotrani and Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush.
In the meantime, some Ministers resigned in video statements, such as State Ministers for Illegal Immigration Affairs and Civilian Services.
