The Minister of Finance of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Khaled Al-Mabrouk, has discussed in Washington, with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, Sinisa Mali, the longstanding debts that Serbia owes to Libya.

The two sides agreed to coordinate to hold a follow up meeting, including expert teams from both countries, to reach a final settlement of the debt, according to the Ministry of Finance on its official Facebook page.

The meeting was part of a series of official meetings conducted by the Minister of Finance and his accompanying delegation, on the sidelines of the 2024 spring meetings of the Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, which are being held in Washington these days.
