The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohammed Al-Hawaij, has given the go-ahead for the implementation of 53 investment projects across the country.

A statement issued by the ministry indicated that 17 projects will be implemented in the western region, 12 ones in the eastern side of the country, while 24 projects will be implemented in the southern part of Libya.

No further details were given about the nature of these projects.

Meanwhile, Al-Hawaij said that 51 foreign companies opened branches in Libya in 2021, while in the same year, the ministry renewed contracts of 109 foreign companies and granted permission to establish 10 multinational companies.
