Mayors of the western region municipalities stressed the importance of continuing coordination between the municipalities and their security institutions to stand against those who destabilize security and stability in the region.
Over 20 Mayors met in Bir al-Ghanem town south of Zawiya city to voice their support and readiness to coordinate with the security and military authorities, reaffirming their adherence to the security arrangements signed in Zawiya and to introduce further economic reforms so to improve living conditions for people.
The Mayors called on the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) to the fair and equitable distribution of liquidity between the regions and to ensure its provision in order to ease the current financial crisis.
