Libyan Coast Guard rescued Sunday 114 illegal immigrants, including 21 women and four children, in addition to retrieving one dead body and reporting another missing.

The Information Office of the Libyan Navy explained that the migrants were picked up from aboard a rubber boat 13 miles north of the city of Zawiya, noting that the migrants were of different African nationalities.

In a separate operation, the Coast Guard managed to rescue 97 illegal immigrants, 35 miles north of Janzour.

The Information Office added that the migrants included four women and were from Arab and African nationalities, pointing out that they were transferred later to Tripoli Naval Base and were provided with humanitarian and medical assistance before being handed over to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency in Tajoura.
