The Minister of Industry and Minerals in the Government of National Unity, Ahmed Abu Hisa, has stressed the importance of activating industrial cooperation between Libya and Italy, which is considered a major partner for Libya, according to the ministry Facebook page.
On Sunday, Abu Hisa met in his office at the Ministry of Industry and Minerals in Tripoli with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini.
Both sides discussed the return of Italian companies to work and invest in Libya, especially in the industry and minerals sector, the resumption of work in the Trucks and Bus Factory in Tajoura, and the efforts made by the ministry to overcome difficulties with the company “IVECO”, the partner in the factory.
The Italian ambassador explained that industry is one of the basic pillars in relations with Libya, adding that “some industrial and economic activities will be held in the two countries during the coming period.”
