The Interior Minister, Imad Al-Trabelsi, discussed Thursday with the Tunisian Ambassador to Libya, Al-Asaad Al-Ajili, a number of security issues, including the file of illegal immigrants who were removed by Tunisia to the border areas with Libya.

The Ministry of Interior stated on its Facebook page that the meeting discussed some of the problems that occurred during the last period at the Libyan-Tunisian border, and proposed solutions for them in a way that guarantees the common interest between the two countries.

Tunisia faces severe criticism after removing thousands of immigrants from Tunisian cities to remote desert areas near Libya, as the immigrants face difficult humanitarian conditions in light of the high temperatures and lack of services, which led to deaths among them.
