The Minister of Justice in the Government of National Unity, Halima Abdel Rahman, has participated in the meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, which discussed Arab treaties in the field of combating terrorism, and the Arab Convention against Corruption.

The Council discussed a number of other topics, including money laundering and terrorist financing crimes, information technology crimes, and ways to activate the mechanisms for implementing these treaties.

The Council also discussed draft unified Arab model laws, which cover a number of important topics, including the law criminalizing hate speech, the protection of internally displaced persons, the law protecting children from recruitment into armed conflicts, and the exchange of sentenced prisoners, according to a statement by the Ministry of Justice on its Facebook page.
