The Man-Made River Authority (MMRA) announced on Monday the stoppage of water supply to the city of Tripoli due to maintenance work on the city's internal network, and it is expected to take two days.
The Authority explained on its Facebook page that stopping the water supply from Tripoli aims to enable the maintenance teams of the General Company for Water and Sanitation to control a leak in the internal network and carry out maintenance work due to the high pressure in the line feeding the city.
The Water and Sanitation Company had asked the main control room of the MMRA to gradually reduce the water flow to Tripoli due to the difficulty of controlling the leakage inside the city.
