The National Oil Corporation (NOC) said it is working with the competent security authorities to send a convoy of medical equipment to the southern region.

This came during a meeting of the NOC head, Mustafa Sanallah, with the mayors of 14 municipalities in the south to discuss their needs for confronting the Covid-19.

"This equipment will help medical workers prevent the spread of the disease," NOC head said. He expressed regret for the closure of oil facilities and the lack of revenue, which prevented the NOC of allocating more money to support the southern region during this pandemic.
